About

Hi, I’m Michelle.

I started teaching Pilates in 2017, after completing rigorous training with the world-recognized STOTT Pilates. But my experience with Pilates started much earlier when I went to my first day of dance college in London in 2003 and our ballet teacher would start each day with Pilates exercises to prepare and strengthen the body. She swore by it and you didn’t argue with Miss Beckley!

It cropped up again when I injured myself on a performing job in Tokyo and the team used Pilates to rehab my body and get me performance ready.  But it wasn’t until later, when I was trying to find a new career path that I stumbled back into the Pilates world and took that deep dive into teacher training.  Pilates just made sense to me.

You want to gain strength? Do Pilates. You want to be more mobile? Do Pilates. You want to feel more connected to your body? Do Pilates! I just felt so much better in body AND mind after a session and knew I wanted to share that feeling with others.

I believe that we should never stop learning, even as a teacher. In fact, especially as a teacher! I have taken further CEC’s with STOTT Pilates with their Pilates for Pre and Post Natal workshops. As well as workshops with Classical Pilates Instructor and Osteopath, Alison Salmond with her Integrating the Pilates Method for Low Back Pain workshop and Integrating the Pilates Method for Osteoporosis workshop.
